The ongoing JTBC drama Family By Choice, Episodes 7 and 8 aired back-to-back last night, with Episode 8 grabbing yet another all-time high rating.
The K-drama has consistently risen in the ratings with every new episode after it premiered with a nationwide rating of 2.07 percent on October 9th.
On Wednesday night, Episode 8 obtained a nationwide ratings high of 3.36 percent, higher than the 2.98 percent it earned for its previous episode earlier in the evening.
Family By Choice, Episode 8 performed even better with audiences in Seoul last night, where it grabbed 3.43 percent of the audience — up from Episode 7’s earlier-in-the-evening rating of 3.04 percent.
That rating also placed it in the #1 spot in Seoul in its time slot.
Family By Choice hugely popular with international K-drama fans
Outside South Korea, Family By Choice is continuing to grab the interest of international Korean drama viewers.
My Drama List users, who are notorious for awarding low ratings to Asian dramas, are currently awarding Family By Choice a high 8.6 out of 10 average rating after Episode 8 aired.
Meanwhile, Family By Choice is streaming outside South Korea on Viki, where over 5,100 viewers are currently awarding the K-drama an incredibly high average of 9.7 out of 10.
Viewers comments too are almost all positive about the K-drama, with nary a negative nelly expressing their disappointment.

Yes, I know it’s still airing, but I just can’t stop myself from giving this show well-deserved 10 stars, because it’s been a while since the first episode of a drama made me want to cry and laugh, and want more.
Among recent disappointing, overhyped dramas, this one is a gem.
Now, I have to admit, Family By Choice is one of the few Korean dramas this season that I have not yet begun watching (I just report the ratings!) but, after reading so many incredibly positive comments, I will be starting it tonight.
