I would say the new JTBC drama The Art of Negotiation is likely to be a big success. At least if current indicators are anything to go by.
After all, not only did the Korean drama start off with its first episode on Saturday night earning very solid ratings, by Sunday and Episode 2, it was well on the way to doubling its Saturday ratings — both nationwide and in Seoul.
That nationwide rating for The Art of Negotiation, Episode 2 was 6.06 percent on Sunday night — a huge jump from Episode 1’s audience share of 3.30 percent — and a very good indicator of the K-drama’s future success in that region.
In Seoul, The Art of Negotiation, Episode 2 performed even better — grabbing 6.34 percent — up from the 3.58 percent the K-drama garnered on Saturday.
With this kind of growth so early on, it may also mean the JTBC drama will break double digits soon. Fingers crossed!
International ratings for The Art of Negotiation increasing
Meanwhile, international viewers on My Drama List have already managed to raise its rating on that platform from a stupidly low 7.1 out of 10 on Saturday night due to idiots deliberately down-rating it, to today’s much higher 7.6 out of 10.
My guess is, by the time The Art of Negotiation‘s next episode releases, that rating will be well over an 8.0 of of 10, as the K-drama really is addictive.
It is also still being rated a 9.7 out of 10 on Viki, the platform where the K-drama is streaming internationally.
Personally, I think that rating is a little high and will probably drop slightly, but it’s better having a too-high rating than a stupidly not-deserved low one, isn’t it?
The Art of Negotiation stars the truly excellent main cast of Lee Je Hoon (who is absolutely rocking that grey hair!), Kim Dae Myung, Sung Dong Il, Jang Hyun Sung, Oh Man Seok, Ahn Hyun Ho, and Cha Kang Yoon.
The Korean drama’s third episode will air on JTBC in South Korea, and then stream on Viki, on Saturday, March 15th.
Looking forward to see how well it performs in the ratings then, but my guess is it will skyrocket even further.
