KBS2 drama hits 20% viewership for the first time
It was an excellent night for the Korean weekend drama For Eagle Brothers last night again, as Episode 14 not only earned a new all-time high in the ratings, but also joined the coveted “20% Club”.
Yep, the K-drama’s cast and crew must be ecstatic today as For Eagle Brothers, Episode 14 earned 20% of the nationwide rating on Sunday night, while also cementing its place as the #1 most-watched show not only of Sunday but also the entire week.
That rating was also a substantial 3% jump from Episode 13’s 17%.
Not bad, eh?
The Korean drama performed similarly well in Seoul, with viewers in the country’s capital causing the KBS2 drama to earn 18.4% of the audience share on Sunday night — its highest in that region so far.
And, is it just me, or do you also think, while these ratings are awesome, we still haven’t seen the K-drama’s highest ratings yet? (Update: We hadn’t — only 2 episodes later, and For Eagle Brothers has already grabbed even higher ratings).
International ratings
Viewers outside South Korea watching For Eagle Brothers on Viki are also rating the Korean drama with high ratings, as it is currently earning 9.3 out of 10 – an excellent rating even for that streaming platform.
With 36 more episodes of the KBS2 drama still to air, it is also likely we will continue to see even higher ratings as the drama progresses.
Especially as its predecessor – the also very popular Iron Family – never did hit 20% of the rating throughout its entire 36-episode run.
Look out for the next episode of For Eagle Brothers, which stars Uhm Ji Won, Ahn Jae Wook, Choi Dae Chul, Kim Dong Wan, Yoon Park, Lee Seok Gi, and Yoo In Young, on Saturday, March 22nd on KBS2 and Viki.
