Seiryu and Uryu Sakaki help lead Bofurin’s Jikoku team
Considering the delinquent-themed anime series Wind Breaker was not only one of my favorite anime in 2024, but also one of only a handful I ever bought figures for, you can only imagine how greedy I am for any news of the upcoming Windbreaker, Season 2.
In that respect then, the official Aniplex USA YouTube account has been happy to oblige today, with a new video introducing new characters the Sakaki brothers — aka twins Seiryu Sakaki and Uryu Sakaki.
They are the vice-captains of Bofurin’s Jikoku team and, yep, just as cute as any of the anime’s other characters. Even if Seiryu looks like he may be a happier, more upbeat type of guy than Uryu, eh?
And, if their cuteness wasn’t already a draw, it has also been announced voice actors Soma Saito and Kazuki Ura will be playing them.
Soma Saito, of course, you will know from many of your favorite anime series (mine include as Miyano in Sasaki and Miyano, William James Moriarty in Moriarty the Patriot and, of course, Yuno in Black Clover).
Kazuki Ura is just as busy and just as well known in roles like Yoichi in Blue Lock, Gorou in KamiErabi GOD.app), and Imai in Quality Assurance in Another World.
Watch the announcement, which premiered at AnimeJapan 2025 earlier today.
Wind Breaker, Season 2 details
The second season of the school-themed, delinquent anime follows on from the events of Season 1, which as you will remember ended as Sakura and the rest of Bofurin are heading off to deal with rival gang KEEL after they bullied Anzai’s friend.
And yep, after watching the wild second trailer for Wind Breaker 2 with that amazing voice acting, (watch below) I am more than looking forward to that fight, aren’t you?

Like its first season, Wind Breaker, Season 2 is based on the hit manga written by Satoru Nii.
The anime adaptation is again being directed by Toshifumi Akai, with series composition from Hiroshi Seko (Chainsaw Man), those amazing character designs by Taishi Kawakami who is also Chief Animation Director, and with CloverWorks continuing on with the superb work they achieved in Season 1.
Season 2 of Wind Breaker premieres on April 3rd, 2025 and, as before, will be streaming via Crunchyroll.
