What happened to delay release of final two episodes of My Happy Marriage, Season 2
With both My Happy Marriage, Episodes 12 and 13 now delayed, it appears the fantasy anime may be in some kind of trouble?
At least if the comment by Netflix is anything to go by.
That comment, which speaks about “production delays” seems to blame animation studio Kinema Citrus for the postponements after Episode 12 was previously announced to be delayed, and now the season finale, Episode 13, has followed suit.
The official message from Netflix about the latest My Happy Marriage, Season 2 episode delay goes like this:
We regret to inform that episode 13 of My Happy Marriage Season 2 has been postponed due to production delays.
We apologize for the delay, and will announce the streaming schedule as soon as it is confirmed.
When will the final two episodes air/stream?
It now appears Episode 12 will stream in Japan beginning on March 31st, after being delayed from March 24th, with Episode 13 hitting on April 9th (via the anime’s official X account).
Netflix has yet to confirm both dates, however.
Then again, they may be waiting to see if both episodes are actually completed, or if another delay is on its way. And, for that, you couldn’t blame them.
My Happy Marriage release details
The first season of the fantasy romance drama My Happy Marriage (aka Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon) premiered on July 5th, 2023 with its 12 episodes running until September 20th, 2023.
A follow up OVA titled My Happy Marriage: The Shape of My Happiness came out on March 15th, 2024, followed by the first episode of Season 2 on January 6th, 2025.
Episode 12 was then announced as delayed on March 20th, four days before it was due to premiere, followed by the postponement of Episode 13 earlier today.
Hopefully both episodes will now air/stream on their new promised release dates. We will keep you updated here at Leo Sigh if they are not.
