In the late Eastern Han Dynasty, Dong Zhuo wreaked havoc in the capital, holding the emperor hostage in order to command the feudal lords and take their relatives as captives.

Later, under the scheme of Lü Bu, he planned to use Luoyang as bait to lure the allied forces into a trap and set the city ablaze.

To rescue the hostages, the allied forces, composed of various charismatic figures, devised ingenious strategies. The stage for the struggle between overlords and heroes is now set, and the curtain is about to rise.
