New The Demon Hunter 2 trailer massively ramps up the excitement for the donghua’s premiere

A new The Demon Hunter 2 trailer has just been released via YOUKU Animation’s YouTube channel and via the donghua’s official Weibo account and, with only five more days to go before its second season hits, the trailer does a brilliant job of ramping up the excitement.

Along with the video’s release, the production committee also commented:

Starting from December 6th, every Friday at 10 AM, the second season of the “Cang Yuan Tu” animation will be online. Watch Meng Chuan take on 499 opponents!

The latest The Demon Hunter 2 trailer then kicks off with shots of the three main characters — protagonist Meng Chuan (who, by the way, is fabulously voiced by actor San Shin), his childhood friend and love interest Liu Qiyue and close friend Yan Jin — before we hear Meng Chuan commenting:

In days to come, those who trail behind me will awake at the daybreak.

Just as the sun’s ascent is inevitable, no one can impede my advance. I will eliminate every demon.

Yes, as we have mentioned in other posts, Meng Chuan is absolutely sure about himself, his abilities, the fact that no demon will be spared his wrath, and the absolute guarantee that he will become a saint.

The rest of the latest trailer then re-introduces the main three characters, along with some of their phenomenal skills, and ends with Meng Chuan explaining calmly:

Zhuang Sheng told me that the predetermined future has disappeared. I don’t know what kind of future he was referring to. But I know what it is now.

All of this comes with the pounding musical accompaniment of this phenomenal Chinese rock song from Season 1.

Yep, if you thought the first season of the fantasy cultivation donghua was good, from this trailer alone, it appears you ain’t seen nothing yet.

The Demon Hunter 2 premiere date

The next stage of this utterly superb Chinese anime is now scheduled to premiere on December 6th via YOUKU.

It is based on the long-running novel series by I Eat Tomatoes, and is again being animated by the brilliant studio Shenman Culture Entertainment, while YOUKU produces and Angel Culture co-produces.
