The Art of Negotiation EP12 ends K-drama with all-time high ratings and first double-digit viewerships

Not that it was particularly difficult to predict, but yes I was correct (pat my own back!) The Art of Negotiation, Episode 12 ended its 12-episode run on Sunday night not only with an all-time high rating, but also a huge ratings jump versus its previous episode.

According to Nielsen Korea, The Art of Negotiation, Episode 12 grabbed 10.31 percent of the audience share on Sunday night versus Episode 11’s 7.18 percent.

That is heading towards a massive 3.50 percent increase over the K-drama’s Saturday night show.

It is also the first time the JTBC drama climbed over the magic double digit mark. Both nationwide and in Seoul.

As if that wasn’t enough, The Art of Negotiation, Episode 12 was even more successful with viewers in Seoul grabbing 11.29 percent of that region’s viewership — a substantial 3.2 percent increase from Episode 11’s already excellent rating of 8.03 percent.

Throw in the K-drama was also the #1 show in its time slot and, yep, all in all Sunday night was a magical night for the truly excellent drama.

Its superb cast, writer, director and crew must be thrilled.

The Art of Negotiation wows viewers on Viki

Finally, after being highly rated from international viewers watching the Korean drama via Viki right from its first episode, The Art of Negotiation has also ended its run on that platform with a phenomenally high 9.6 out of 10 rating — averaged out from ratings from almost 2,750 viewers.

In other words, a huge number of those several thousand viewers awarded the K-drama a perfect 10 out of 10 for its average to be that high.

Then again, the Korean drama is wonderfully written and directed, and stars what has been one of the best casts main and supporting casts in a K-drama this year so far — Lee Je Hoon, Kim Dae Myung, Sung Dong Il, Jang Hyun Sung, Oh Man Seok, Ahn Hyun Ho, and Cha Kang Yoon.

You can watch all 12 episodes of The Art of Negotiation via Viki.

Now, let’s just hope a Season 2 is in our future as well, eh? As, I don’t know about you, but I think that ending definitely calls for more.
