See You Tomorrow at the Food Court gets first visual intro-ing Wada and Yamamoto and premiere date

The upcoming slice-of-life anime See You Tomorrow at the Food Court got a cute first key visual today, along with a solid premiere date.

The visual was released via the anime’s X account, with the announcement we can expect to have See You Tomorrow at the Food Court hitting our screens sometime in July, 2025.

The anime’s first visual features protagonists Yada and Yamamoto — voiced by VAs Hiyori Miyazak and Yoshino Aoyama — still dressed in their school uniforms, and obviously on their way to the shopping mall food court to hangout.

What is the See You Tomorrow at the Food Court plot?

The anime is adapted from a popular manga written and illustrated by Shinichirō Nariie.

Interestingly, even though it was originally published as a web manga, and then bought by Kadokawa Shoten in 2020 for publication, it still only has two volumes out, with the first volume being published in March, 2021 but Volume 2 not hitting until last month.

Yen Press has published Volume 1 in English.

Its plot, according to its original Japanese release, goes like this:

Wada, with her model-student appearance and refined, sheltered young lady aura, gives off an unapproachable vibe.

Yamamoto, with her blonde hair, tanned skin, and gal-style look, is feared by those around her.

The two attend different schools and spend their days alone. Yet, when they meet every afternoon at the food court, they show sides of themselves that only the other gets to see.

After all, Wada is addicted to mobile games, and Yamamoto loves urban legends and a certain YouTuber.

See You Tomorrow at the Food Court production details

Kazuomi Koga (Kubo Won’t Let Me Be Invisible and Rent-a-Girlfriend) is directing the anime.

Series composition is by Jukki Hanada (Sengoku Youko), while Kyuta Sakai (Re:Zero – Starting Life in Another World) is both chief animation director and designing those cute characters.

As for the animation studio, Atelier Pontdarc (Ganbare Douki-chan) is animating the series, with Magic Capsule and Kadokawa producing.

A short teaser trailer was also released last month, which doesn’t tell you much, but at least gives a quick peek at those cute girls, while introducing the anime’s staff.
