New ‘Twelve Letters’ poster and trailer show the intense emotion we can expect in the Chinese mini-drama

The upcoming Chinese romantic mystery thriller Twelve Letters has been on my Must Watch list since it was announced for two reasons.

I need a shorter drama to counteract all the 36-episode plus series I’ve been watching lately, and this one clocks in at just 12 episodes — one episode per letter — and…

Reason number two, the C-drama’s main leads are Zhou Yi Ran (wonderful in When I Fly Towards You) and Wang Ying Lu (did a stellar job in I Am Nobody).

Today, Twelve Letters has a new poster out, and it has sparked my interest even more as it exudes the heart-grabbing (and hopefully not heart-breaking) emotion shown in the C-drama’s trailer.

The drama’s latest poster was released via Tencent Video’s Weibo account this morning, with the message:

We once weathered the toughest times together. In the storms of fate, you sheltered me with your back, holding up a clear sky.

Meanwhile, the mysterious Twelve Letters plot sounds like this:

A mailbox and a letter facilitate the linkage of fate across time and space, and also evoke an emotional symphony at both ends of time and space.

With the twelve letters across time and space, the past of a group of people’s love, friendship and family affection is revealed.

While the suspense of fate becomes clear, the emotional redemption of the protagonists is also completed.
