Sword Rose character visuals for Dilraba Dilmurat and Jin Shi Jia release as C-drama changes premiere date
Two new character visuals have been released for upcoming mystery crime thriller Sword Rose, which is now due to premiere on July 28th instead of its originally-planned July 12th.
As you might expect, the first two character visuals are for the C-drama’s protagonists — Deng Yan (played by Dilraba Dilmurat) and Chang Rui (Jin Shi Jia).
They arrived with a message from Tencent Video this morning calling the posters ‘Resolute Gaze’ posters:
#SwordAndRose Resolute Gaze Poster#
Deng Yan (@Dear-迪丽热巴) and Chang Rui (@金世佳@金世佳工作室) gaze with unwavering determination, reflecting their steadfast belief—in the battle against child trafficking, victory is the only option!
The anti-child-trafficking crime drama #SwordRose premieres July 28th at 19:30 (Beijing Time), exclusively on Tencent Video!
The two posters follow on from another poster that was released yesterday to celebrate the Chinese crime-themed drama’s 1 million reservations on Tencent.
A worldwide release for Sword Rose?
There has also not been any confirmation yet that Sword Rose will release worldwide and, as it has now been announced the C-drama will be streaming on both Tencent and iQIYI, depending on the region, it’s looking even more likely some international regions may not get a proper release.
Considering past events, if that does happen, Europe may be one region that doesn’t get a legal release of Sword Rose, as we have been unlucky in the past with the licensing of a substantial number of Chinese dramas.
Especially those that stream on iQIYI — some of which avoid a proper streaming service release, and get stuck on YouTube with 1,000 ads per episode instead. (I’m looking at you Linmon Pictures!)
Guess we’ll just see what happens on July 28th, eh?
