Zhang Ling He and Tian Xi Wei’s ‘Zhu Yu’ passes 1 million reservations – lovely visual drops

Zhang Ling He and Tian Xi Wei’s upcoming historical romance drama Zhu Yu (aka Chasing Jade) has passed 1 million reservations on Tencent, with, sadly, no premiere date in sight as yet.

A new Zhu Yu visual was dropped today via Tencent’s Weibo account, though, celebrating the Chinese drama’s first 1 million reservations.

The visual features main leads Zhang Ling He, who’s latest drama, Our Generation, premiered today, and Tian Xi Wei who recently did a brilliant job as the annoying but ultimately cute Princess Lin An in the superb Guardians of the Dafeng.

Tencent Video also commented about the interest in the upcoming C-drama:

They then reminded C-drama fans to reserve Zhu Yu on Tencent.

Zhu Yu‘s 1 million reservations announcement follows on from the Chinese drama’s trailer, which was released internationally via WeTV’s X account on April 26th.

Before you get excited about a potential Zhu Yu premiere date, however, be aware the C-drama only finished filming in mid-April, so a 2026 premiere in the second quarter at the very earliest is probable.
