Meanwhile, it’s one of a few upcoming dramas Guo Jun Chen is appearing in, with his Fox Spirit Matchmaker: Sword and Beloved hopefully the next one to premiere.

As for Qiu Tian, she has not appeared in a drama since 2023’s Fearless Blood, so it’s a very nice-to-see-you welcome back to her.

The plot of Bloom Life

The Bloom Life follows the life decisions and romantic lives of three sisters.

Baidu Encyclopedia describes it like this:

Three sisters who grew up in the ancient city of Kashgar are each facing their own life struggles.

The eldest sister, Azigul, left her hometown years ago after the unexpected death of her father. Though she dreamed of becoming an architect, her efforts in the big city led nowhere, forcing her to return home as a designer for the ancient city’s renovation. There, she must work alongside Jiang Nan, her first love and a newcomer to the neighborhood office, as they tackle one professional challenge after another.

Nawar, a dancer known as the “Flower of the Ancient City,” must choose between marriage and her career. But an accident leaves her body—and her dreams—paralyzed. Her fiancé abandons her, leaving only her neighbor Dili by her side, steadfast in his devotion.

The youngest sister, Laili, shares a budding romance with singer Parhat, but to honor her father’s legacy, she agrees to an engagement with his apprentice instead.

The ancient city’s renovation brings the three sisters back together. As they work to restore the thousand-year-old streets, they also mend the wounds in their hearts, finding renewal—just like the city itself.

Enjoy the photos from the Bloom Life booting ceremony.

The drama itself won’t premiere until at least the latter part of 2026 so, as interesting as this one sounds, we still have a heckuva wait.
