Dilraba Dilmurat and Jin Shi Jia’s Sword Rose exceeds 1.88 million reservations

Tencent Video is reporting the Chinese crime thriller Sword Rose is well on its way to becoming a big hit after it has already amassed 1.88 million reservations the day before it premieres.

The Sword Rose1.88 million reservations were reported on Tencent’s Weibo account earlier today, along with a celebratory poster featuring the drama’s main leads, and the comment:

“Congratulations on #利剑玫瑰 (Sword Rose) surpassing 1.88 million reservations!

Join Deng Yan (aka Dilraba Dilmurat — @Dear-迪丽热巴) and Chang Rui (aka Jin Shi Jia — @金世佳) as they forge justice with passion, shatter the masks of crime with resilience, and reunite broken families!

Now, personally, Sword Rose is one of my anticipated dramas of Summer, 2025.

After all, not only is it the wonderful Dilraba Dilmurat finally back two years after The Legend of Anle dropped, but its child-trafficking theme is a much more serious subject than we often get in C-dramas, and more akin to her role in Prosecution Elite than in her more fantasy-related series.

It also stars Jin Shi Jia, who was brilliant in Under the Skin and, in a pairing with Dilraba should absolutely shine.

The 32-episode Sword Rose premieres on WeTV internationally and on iQIYI tomorrow, July 28th.
