The announcement about the C-drama passing that milestone appeared on Tencent Video’s Weibo this morning, along with the congratulatory comment:

#TwelveLetters surpasses 300K pre-orders#

“May we all have the courage to chase mountains and oceans, and the luck to encounter the aurora.”

Thank you for every reservation that lit up this moment. This summer, stay tuned on 🐧 (Tencent) —we’ll be waiting for you.

Zhou Yi Ran (@周翊然Tz) and Wang Ying Lu (@王影璐_ ) (in no particular order)

A new poster of leads Zhou Yi Ran and Wang Ying Lu was released with the announcement, and is the first proper promotional piece we have had for the 12-episode drama since June.

Hopefully then, that means Twelve Letters, which ended filming in late June, 2024, will be releasing on Tencent Video soon.

Update: Twelve Letters has now been announced as premiering on August 29th.

When it does, it is scheduled to be part of the Tencent Firefly Theater segment, joining previously released C-dramas like Her, Such a Good Love, Dear Enemy and Reborn.

The plot of C-drama Twelve Letters

And, if you are wondering if the Chinese mini-drama may be something you would be interested in watching, the Twelve Letters plot goes like this:

A mailbox and a letter facilitate the linkage of fate across time and space, and also evoke an emotional symphony at both ends of time and space.

As the twelve letters across time and space are revealed, the past of a group of people intertwined with love, friendship and family affection is revealed.

While the suspense of fate becomes clear, the emotional redemption of the protagonists is also completed.

Intriguing, yes?
