Kakuriyo: Bed & Breakfast for Spirits Season 2 trailer, key visual, premiere date drop
Oh, I have been waiting for the premiere of this one for a long time — Season 2 of the wonderful fantasy romance anime Kakuriyo: Bed & Breakfast for Spirits.
An anime whose first season ended way, way, way back in September, 2018 and now, one that we are finally getting to see the continuation of its wonderful story.
And, according to a new announcement, in just a couple of months too — in October, 2025.

Kakuriyo: Bed & Breakfast for Spirits, Season 2 premieres in October
The premiere date for Kakuriyo: Bed & Breakfast for Spirits was announced via the anime’s official X account earlier today along with a trailer, the anime’s first key visual (above), and with the message:
“Welcome back, Aoi. I’m home.”
Aoi, of course, is protagonist Aoi Tsubaki, who was kidnapped (sort of) by a demon and transported to the world of the Ayakashi.
There, she opens a restaurant, makes some wonderful friends and, in due course, starts to fall in love with the demon — Oodanna, the “Master Innkeeper.”
In Season 2, after establishing herself and her skills in Season 1 then, hopefully, we will see even more instances of she and Oodanna becoming closer and closer.
The just-released trailer for Season 2, unfortunately, doesn’t show us anything from the second season but, instead, gives us a condensed version of what happened in Season 1. (watch below)
Then again, it has been seven years since the last time we saw Aoi, Oodanna, and friends, so the quick reminder is helpful.
Kakuriyo: Bed & Breakfast for Spirits staff
Hopefully, Season 2 of the fantasy anime will be animated and produced just as well as its first season, as we are getting some different staff members.
Season 2 is being directed by Jou Yoshizaki (The Brilliant Healer’s New Life in the Shadows) who is taking over from Season 1’s wonderful director Yoshiko Okuda.
Tomoko Konparu is back providing the series composition and scripts again, while new character designer Emi Katsura is creating those wonderful characters.
Studio Gonzo is animating again with, this time, help from Studio Makaria (Zatsu Tabi: That’s Journey).
And, just in case you’ve forgotten from Season 1, the plot of Kakuriyo: Bed & Breakfast for Spirits goes like this:
Aoi, a female college student, is brought to Tenjin-ya, an inn for monsters in the hidden world, to pay off her grandfather’s debt. In order to avoid being married off to the demon who is the owner of the inn, she uses her cooking skills to work and try to pay off her debt, but…
I’ll be back here on Leo Sigh as more promo pieces drop for the upcoming Season 2. And I’ll be more and more excited the closer to get to October, won’t you?
Meanwhile, refamiliarize yourself with the anime via its new trailer.
