Production details for Farming Life in Another World, Season 2
The staff for Season 2 of the isekai anime are slightly different as, while director Ryouichi Kuraya (Bartender: Glass of God) is back directing the second season, he is also in charge of scripts and series composition this time around.
Yoshiko Saito (Mushoku Tensei) is returning as character designer and chief animation director, while Studio ZERO-G is back animating.
The anime is again based on the hit Japanese light novel series of the same title, which is written by Kinosuke Naito and illustrated by Yasumo.
The novels, which have a huge cast of characters, have 19 volumes out in Japan, although weirdly an English-language version has never been licensed or published.
The extremely satisfying Farming Life in Another World plot looks like this:
The series tells the story of Hiraku Machio who, after many years of being confined to hospital due to a severe illness, dies.
A god, who feels sorry for Hiraku and the sad life he has lived, gives him the chance of being reincarnated in a new world to do whatever he wants.
Hiraku decides to farm, and is given the ‘Almighty Farming Tool’, which is able to be transformed into any tool Hiraku needs.
He then sets about creating a new life for himself, while cultivating a desolate area of the world and remaking it into a thriving community.
