According to the numbers via Nielsen Korea, Beyond the Bar‘s penultimate episode earned 7.54 percent last night — up from the K-drama’s previous Saturday high of 7.16 percent for Episode 5 on August 16th.

The JTBC drama also garnered an even higher 8.02 percent from viewers in Seoul, which is up substantially from the 7.53 percent Beyond the Bar earned for Episode 5 in the same region.

Beyond the Bar has maintained superb international ratings

With just one episode left to air, the Korean drama has also held its own on websites like My Drama List (MDL), where it is still being rated an excellent 8.4 out of 10.

Sure, the comments on MDL have not always been positive, but that’s generally down to the usual trolls complaining about “an age gap” between the two leads.

Because, you know, when Lee Jin Wook is 43 years old, and Jung Chae Yeon is 27, that’s an imprisonable offence when you’re an idiot.

Those who are watching and not trolls, however, have been upbeat about Beyond the Bar throughout, and rated it accordingly now it has almost ended its run.

Meanwhile, the Korean drama is also earning a solid 8.1 out of 10 via IMDB.

The final episode of Beyond the Bar drops in a few hours on Netflix, where it is currently sitting at #4 on that platform’s Top 10 Non-English TV Shows chart as, no, most international viewers don’t care about the so-called “age gap” either.
