C-drama The Hunt has exceeded 8,000 on YOUKU’s heat index – sadly European and American fans can’t watch it
The recently released Chinese drama The Hunt (aka 命悬一生), a drama that is just about impossible to find legally here in Europe, has just exceeded 8,000 on iQIYI’s heat index in China.
Two posters were released on the streaming service’s Weibo account this afternoon to celebrate, with a message congratulating the actors:
#The Hunt hits 8000 heat on iQIYI#
The truth is hidden beneath layers of identity and mystery — as the past intertwines with the present, how will each person choose their path between good and evil?
#TVSeries The Hunt# — now streaming on iQIYI’s “Light On Theater”!Starring: Huang Xuan and Teresa Li
Also starring: Zhang Zhe Hua
Special appearances by: @Bai Yu Fan and Yin Fang
Featuring: @Jiang Pei Yao @Xu Ao Jun
iQIYI’s description of The Hunt plot makes this one sound interesting:
Upon receiving a request from his friend Cao Xiaojun, Ni Xiangdong transports a wooden box to an abandoned cabin on a barren mountain. Xiangdong then discovers that the box contains Xiaojun’s body.
Xiaojun’s wife Wu Ximei reports her husband missing to the police, while also alluding to everything being related to Xiangdong. However, there is something off with Ximei’s witness testimony…
The Hunt premiered on October 11th on iQIYI and will drop new episodes through October 23rd in China, and in other areas of Asia.

Outside China, though, at least in the west, the crime thriller is absent from iQIYI’s streaming service (so many good dramas not being available in Europe or the United States is why I canceled my subscription a couple of months ago).
9 cool-looking stills drop for C-drama The Hunt
A pity, as the cast is exceptionally good, and its plot is one of the more unusual ones.
