A Gatherer’s Adventure in Isekai anime gets premiere date
Now, I am one of those rare anime fans who always believes the more isekai anime series released, the better.
Sorry, but isekai is my drug, and I won’t apologize for it.
That’s why, today is also my happy day as the upcoming fantasy adventure isekai anime A Gatherer’s Adventure in Isekai has received a premiere date — October, 2025 — and a date that came very soon after the anime adaptation was announced back in March.
What is A Gatherer’s Adventure in Isekai plot?
The anime is being adapted from the fantasy light novel series written by Masuo Kinoko and illustrated by Senbon Umishima, Katsuki Onda, and Susumu Kuroi (titled 素材採取家の異世界旅行記 or Sozai Saishuka no Isekai Ryokōki in Japanese).
The series has been published in tankōbon volumes since January, 2017 with 16 volumes out in Japanese, and with its latest releasing on March 30, 2025.
A manga adaptation also has eight volumes out so far.
The first volume of the light novel series describes the A Gatherer’s Adventure in Isekai plot like this:
An ordinary young man, Takeru Kamishiro, finds himself reincarnated into another world through a twist of fate.
In his previous life, he had had no remarkable talents—but in this new world, he is granted overpowered physical abilities, immense magical power, and two mysterious skills:
Search – The power to find anything.
Scan – The power to understand anything.
Using these abilities, Takeru begins gathering bizarre rare materials one after another, establishing himself as a skilled “Material Hunter.”
But when he encounters an ancient dragon lurking deep underground, his fate takes an unexpected turn—
Yep, an isekai story right up my alley. How about you?

A Gatherer’s Adventure in Isekai production details
The anime adaptation is being directed by Yoshinori Odaka (director of one of my favorite ever slice-of-life anime Mr. Villain’s Day Off).
Gigaemon Ichikawa (The Fruit of Evolution: Before I Knew It, My Life Had It Made) is in charge of series composition, and with Mayumi Watanabe (Taisho Otome Fairy Tale) designing the characters.
Animation studios Tatsunoko Production (Ping Pong the Animation) and SynergySP (Mr. Villain’s Day Off) are co-animating the series.
Not much more information has been released about the fantasy anime as yet, but we will be back here on Leo Sigh as soon as cast information, new visuals or a trailer drops.
