The fourth season of one of the most popular Chinese donghua ever released, A Record of Mortal’s Journey to Immortality (aka Fanren Xiu Xian Chuan), is scheduled to hit streaming services on January 18th (Beijing time).
In other words, likely some time late on the 17th for many of the rest of us outside China.
A Record of Mortal’s Journey to Immortality Season 4 will continue from where the historical martial arts donghua left off in Season 3 in October, 2024 with Episode 125 the newest one releasing.
A Record of Mortal’s Journey to Immortality, Season 4 details
Like previous seasons, the donghua is being animated by studios Original Force and Wonder Cat Animation, produced by Bilibili, and continues to follow protagonist Han Li’s journey to immortality.
It is based on the online novel series written by Wang Yu — one of the longest cultivation novels ever written in Chinese at over 7.71 million words, now complete, and with 11 Volumes released.
There is no word yet on how many episodes Season 4 will comprise but, if the other seasons are anything to go by, it should hopefully be quite lengthy.
A trailer for Season 4 of the hit Chinese animated series was uploaded to Made by Bilibili’s YouTube channel a couple of weeks ago — the same place where you can watch the new season’s first episode when it hits.
Watch that below.
And, if you are not usually into Chinese language animation (although I’m not sure why you wouldn’t be?), YOY Animation has also recently begun streaming an English dubbed version of the first season of the series, with 12 episodes out so far, so you can get into the series that way.
