Asteroid in Love manga ending this year – final chapters out in Japan soon

Just in case you have been reading the original Japanese version of the Asteroid in Love manga by Quro, the June issue of Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara Carat magazine has just announced the manga will be coming to an end and will conclude within the next two issues.

That means the last Asteroid in Love chapter will be published in June.

The manga has been serialized in Manga Time Kirara Carat since January, 2017, as well as released in five tankōbon volumes, with its last volume coming out in January, 2023.

Unfortunately, even though the manga got an anime adaptation, it has never been officially released in an English translation.

What is the Asteroid in Love manga about?

The story revolves around Mira, a young girl who wants to join the astronomy club in her first year of high school, after making a promise to Ao, a “boy” she briefly met when she was a young child.

However, upon enrollment, she discovers that her school has merged the astronomy club with the earth sciences club, thwarting her plans.

Weirdly too, Ao also attends the same school.

A 12-episode anime adaptation of Asteroid in Love came out in January, 2020 via Crunchyroll, and is still streaming on the platform.

The entire series was later released by Funimation on Blu-ray.
