Attack on Titan the Movie: The Last Attack announced along with premiere date

There’s exciting news for Attack on Titan fans today!

The official Shingeki no Kyojin website and the anime’s X account just dropped a very welcome announcement: a brand-new compilation movie for Shingeki no Kyojin: The Final Season – Kanketsu-hen is hitting theaters in Japan on November 8th.

The movie, powerfully titled Shingeki no Kyojin: Kanketsu-hen – The Last Attack (akaAttack on Titan the Movie: The Last Attack), promises to be an epic cinematic experience.

That’s because the upcoming 145-minute rollercoaster ride comprises the recent two-part TV special, but with revamped visuals and featuring immersive 5.1 surround sound.

Both things will mean the experience of watching the film in a movie theater rather than on TV will be markedly more powerful and ridiculously satisfying.

The Attack on Titan the Movie: The Last Attack is crafted by the same MAPPA dream team behind the TV special, including director Yuuichirou Hayashi, series composer Hiroshi Seko, and character designer Tomohiro Kishi.

Plus, the soundtrack will feature Linked Horizon’s captivating theme song, “Nisennen… Moshiku wa… Nimannengo no Kimi e…“.

All of this sets the stage for an unforgettable experience.

For those who missed the TV special, it originally aired as a two-episode event on March 4th and November 5th, 2023, and was well-received by fans and critics alike.

Even on My Anime List, where users often tend to be strict with their ratings, Shingeki no Kyojin: The Final Season – Kanketsu-hen earned a very high 8.8 out of 10.

In other words, if you have not yet watched the 2-part TV series or, even if you have, mark your calendars and we will let you know here at Leo Sigh once an international release date has been announced for its movie compilation.

Now prepare for the ultimate Attack on Titan adventure by re-watching all four seasons of the fantasy anime on Crunchyroll.
