Betrothed to My Sister’s Ex 4th and final key visual drops as anime’s finale airs
While the anime did have some weak moments, overall I enjoyed the plot and the characters in Betrothed to My Sister’s Ex right through to its finale earlier today.
A finale that just got a celebratory key visual featuring main leads Marie Shaderan and Kyros Granado obviously incredibly happy and ridiculously in love. (below)
The 4th and final Betrothed to My Sister’s Ex key visual has Marie and Kyros in each others arms smiling broadly, as Marie wears a wedding dress and clutches a bouquet of roses and Kyros hugs her tightly to him.
The final key visual was released on the fantasy romance anime’s X account, with the message:
May Marie and Kyros’s happiness continue for a long time…
Betrothed to My Sister’s Ex details
The Betrothed to My Sister’s Ex anime adaptation aired from July 5th, 2025 until today, September 20th for a total of 12 episodes.
The anime is directed by Takayuki Kitagawa, with Kenta Ihara in charge of series composition, and character designs from Akiko Sato.
The fantasy series is based on a light novel written by Tobirano and illustrated by Mai Murasaki.
Seven Seas Entertainment currently publishes the novel, with one volume out so far, while nine volumes are available in Japanese.
The first volume of its original Japanese series describes the Betrothed to My Sister’s Ex plot like this:
Marie, the daughter of a baron, has unkempt red hair, ragged clothes, and works like a servant. Count Granado, the country’s richest man, who is said to be misogynistic and difficult to please, falls in love at first sight with her.
However, due to a misunderstanding, Count Granado proposes to her princess-like older sister, Anastasia, instead of the ragged Marie.
Ragged Marie’s Cinderella story begins with a misunderstanding by the hero!
