Beyond the Bar, Ep 8 grabs HIGHEST ratings yet as K-drama on Netflix Top 10 for 3rd week
The ongoing legal-themed drama Beyond the Bar just continues to go from strength to strength as Episode 8 aired on Sunday night to its highest ratings yet.
Data via Nielsen Korea shows those Beyond the Bar, Episode 8 nationwide ratings were 8.68 percent last night.
That is a substantial jump from the 7.04 percent the K-drama earned on Saturday night, and nicely up from the series’ previous all-time high of 8.31 percent that it earned for Episode 4.
The same occurred in Seoul, where viewers there pushed the Beyond the Bar, Episode 8 viewership from Saturday’s 7.21 percent to Sunday’s 9.29 percent — the first time in its 8-episode run the K-drama has almost hit double digits.
International ratings for Beyond the Bar continue to be superb
Beyond the Bar international ratings also continue to increase, with the JTBC drama kicking off with an 8.2 out of 10 rating from viewers using My Drama List, and then rising to its now 8.4 out of 10.
Almost all comments on the site are also positive, as users are happy about Episode 8 bringing a conclusion to the cliffhanger of Episode 7, while currently loving the slow burn between the male and female lead (Lee Jin Wook and Jung Chae Yeon).
Meanwhile, Beyond the Bar continues to happily sit on the Netflix Top 10 Non-English TV Series chart for its third week now — with its ranking this week at #2.
Beyond the Bar is the #1 series on the Most-Buzzworthy K-drama list
With only four more episodes to air before Beyond the Bar ends then, my guess is the Korean drama’s Sunday ratings will only continue to rise right through to its series finale on September 7th.
Beyond the Bar stars the wonderful Lee Jin Wook as the male lead alongside the equally superb main cast of Jung Chae Yeon, Lee Hak Joo, and Jeon Hye Bin.
The Korean drama’s next episode drops on Saturday, August 30th. Let’s see how it performs next weekend then, eh?
