Boy’s Abyss manga ending in July – here’s when you can read final 5 chapters

Mangaka Ryou Minenami announced on hisĀ  X account earlier today that his long-running Boy’s Abyss manga will end next month.

The chapter of Boy’s Abyss that has just been published in the latest issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine, Chapter 179, is the first of five final chapters to come out.

The last four will be published in the next few weeks, with the final chapter, Chapter 183, coming out in the July 18th issue of the same magazine.

In his announcement of the coming Boy’s Abyss end, the mangaka also thanked fans for their continued support, while commenting that Volume 17 of the manga will be out on July 19th.

He also released the official cover for the upcoming volume.

The Boy’s Abyss manga first appeared in the magazine in February, 2020 and has since been compiled into 16 volumes.

The psychological manga is being published in English by VIZ Media, who currently has five volumes in publication, with Volume 6 due out on July 23rd.

VIZ describes the manga’s plot like this:

Reijiā€™s mother is checked out, heā€™s stuck caring for his grandmother with dementia, and his childhood friend treats him like a lackey. Then beautiful, big-city pop star Nagi miraculously shows up working the counter at the local convenience store. Reiji is starstruck.

When she offers him the ultimate way out of his claustrophobic existence, will he succumb to temptationā€¦?
