Friday night is currently the one night of the week where the two best ongoing Korean dramas go head to head in the same timeslot.
Those dramas, of course, are Buried Hearts and Undercover High School, and both performed extremely well last night. Again.
Buried Hearts, for instance, earned more superb ratings — grabbing its highest ever Friday night ratings in South Korea last night.
The nationwide rating, for Buried Hearts, Episode 5 was 9.2 percent — which is a very nice increase from its previous Friday night’s already excellent 8.8 percent of the audience share.
Meanwhile, in Seoul, that region’s rating was an extremely good 9.0 percent — only 0.10 percent higher than the 8.90 percent it earned last Friday night, but a viewership increase nevertheless.
With Saturday’s episode of the SBS series usually being its most watched, however, we can probably expect Buried Hearts to grab another all-time high rating when it hits the airwaves later on tonight.
International ratings for Buried Hearts hold steady
Meanwhile, international viewers are still rating the Korean mystery crime drama with very solid ratings on various platforms, including on My Drama List where it is still earning a solid 8.3 out of 10 from the often quite picky users of the site.
The drama itself stars the superb and very experienced main cast of Park Hyung Sik (Doctor Slump), Huh Joon Ho (Bloodhounds), Lee Hae Young (Mr. Plankton), and Hong Hwa Yeon (Only You).
The Korean crime drama’s next episode hits later on tonight on SBS in South Korea, and on Disney+ internationally.
