Chinese animation studio Foch Film has just released a new poster for their donghua Perfect World (aka Wanmei Shijie). (see below)
The poster came out this morning via the company’s Weibo account and, along with the latest Perfect World poster, the studio also commented:
The second theatrical version of the donghua is now in production. Stay tuned!
As you might expect, the movie poster does not give anything away either, as it simply features a back view of protagonist Shi Hao as he walks through a desolate land.
No information was released about a premiere date either, with the only information available that the film is being produced by Tencent Penguin Pictures.
But, as usual, we will keep you updated here at Leo Sigh as more information about the new Perfect World movie comes out.
The Perfect World (Wanmei Shijie) timeline
Season 1 of the hit action adventure anime came out on April 23rd, 2021 and has been running ever since. Its latest episode, Perfect World, Episode 205 releases in just over an hour in China.
The donghua series currently streams all episodes outside China both via Tencent Anime’s YouTube channel, and on WeTV.
Tencent Video’s YouTube channel is currently streaming Episode 203, while the WeTV streaming service is even further behind China, with only up to Episode 199 available on that platform so far.

As for the first Perfect World movie, the film premiered on September 14th, 2024 and, oddly, is only available on Tencent and on WeTV in three parts of around 36 minutes in length each.
As all three are only available to watch via three separate rentals on both platforms, it is obviously a very disappointing money grab by Tencent. Boo.
Donghua is my life.
