Only a couple of days ago, new Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End character Sein was announced, along with his voice actor the wonderful Yuuichi Nakamura.

Today, it is now Sein’s brother’s turn to take the spotlight with a new announcement via the Frieren website naming the equally superb Daisuke Hirakawa as the voice actor who has been awarded the role.

Daisuke Hirakawa, of course, has been providing the voices of some of our most favorite anime characters for more than 20 years.

Those characters include Kentarou in Eternal Boys, Qing She is Kingdom, Kenzou Yamashita in Kengan Ashura, Enmu in Demon Slayer, Saint-Germain in Code: Realize, Rei in the Free! franchise, Frankenstein in Noblesse, Laito Sakamaki in Diabolik Lovers and Noriaki Kakyouin in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure.

Hirakawa has also dubbed the voices of some of Hollywood’s biggest actors in some of the most massive hits — including being the voice double of Orlando Bloom in films like the Lord of the Rings series and Pirates of the Caribbean, and Tom Hiddleston in The Avengers series and in Loki.

In Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, Daisuke Hirakawa will be voicing Sein’s older brother, a priest who is recognized by the Holy City as one of the most outstanding priests in the region.

Hirakawa joins a huge cast of equally talented voice actors, and will first be seen on the anime’s 13th episode, which is due to air tomorrow, Friday, December 1st.

The anime’s official website also posted an illustration of Sein’s bespectacled priestly brother, alongside Daisuke Hirakawa’s headshot.

Frieren itself has 16 more episodes to air in the series, which means we are also likely to be introduced to more characters and their voice actors as this superb story continues.

Until then, in case you have not started watching Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, which is currently the #1 most-popular anime on My Anime List after it pushed Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood off its long-running top perch earlier this month, you really should get to that.

Check out the anime’s official trailer below. It’s wonderful.
