The veteran actor-led Kdrama Dog Knows Everything, Episode 6 aired last night to another new all-time high in the ratings, surpassing the previous all-time high audience share it earned for Episode 1.

Yay for the old folks, eh?

Nielsen Korea is reporting Dog Knows Everything, Episode 6 earned 4.6 percent of the nationwide viewership on Thursday night in South Korea, passing its previously earned 4.0 percent by over half a point.

The Korean comedy mystery drama also earned a ratings increase from audiences in Seoul, jumping from Episode 5’s already strong viewership of 3.6 percent to last night’s 3.9 percent.

As the excellent 12-episode KBS2 Kdrama heads into its second half next week, that means it is now set up well to continue its ratings rise.

Yay for older Korean actors

And, I don’t know about you, but I am thrilled Dog Knows Everything is doing so well.

Not only because it’s nicely written and a fun watch, but because so many older actors have been given a chance to star and to show just what they can still do.

Something that doesn’t happen all that often in youth-obsessed South Korea as, come on, how many other Kdramas have you watched this year that are headed by an almost 90-year-old? (Lee Soon Jae).

And, of course, there’s also police dog Sophie. Awwwwww.

The Korean drama airs every Wednesday and Thursday evening on KBS2, with Viki now streaming Dog Knows Everything, Episode 6 for its international subscribers.

The Korean drama is also being rated 9.7 out of 10 from Viki viewers, which tells you something about how much audiences love this!
