Donghua Word of Honor Season 2 gets premiere date and new trailer

After minor details about the Chinese donghua were released late last year, it appears Word of Honor, Season 2 finally has a premiere date — sort of.



According to a new trailer released by Bilibili (watch below), Word of Honor (aka Jun You Yun), Season 2 will release in the first half of 2025.

Along with that trailer and premiere announcement, Bilibili also describes the plot of the upcoming season of the animated series:

Xie Kanhua is about to be executed by Shanglin Heavenly Palace.

During the rescue by Su Baiyi and his group, Shanglin Heavenly Palace collapses, and Su Baiyi is taken away by the Demon Lord Su Jian, who has been self-imprisoned for twenty years.

The Hero Assembly of Xuanwei City is convened once again, where Bai Jile, under the guise of the “Heaven and Earth Sorrow” mask, lures the second-best martial artist, Xue Shenguan, to the event, causing chaos in the martial world.

To save the injured Nangong Xier, Su Baiyi and Su Jian travel to North Kunlun to seek the Su family’s ancestor, Su Suomo.

Meanwhile, Xie Yuling and Feng Zuojun head to Qingcheng Mountain and Devil’s Castle respectively to learn martial arts.

Amidst the undercurrents, the immortal island of Yingzhou reappears, and the visitors from Yingzhou issue a challenge to the martial artists, promising prosperity for those who comply and doom for those who resist…

Word of Honor details

The Word of Honor donghua is adapted from the novel of the same name by author Zhou Munan’s (周木楠) .

The first season of the Chinese historical martial arts donghua premiered on April 21st, 2022 and ran for 24 episodes, eventually ending on September 22nd, 2022.

The series is animated by Passion Paint Animation (Tales of Dark River), and produced by Bilibili.
