Other than the superb animation, gorgeous art style and fast-paced, awesome plot, the folks behind the Chinese donghua The Demon Hunter 2 have also been great at releasing some very cool song lyrics posters over the last few weeks.
Today though, they have outdone themselves with 11 beautiful The Demon Hunter 2 wallpapers, released on the Chinese anime’s official Weibo account with the tag ‘Battle of the Defectors’.
The desktop wallpapers include several (five) utterly gorgeous ones of our tragic and gone-too-soon Ning Yibu, a couple of cool wallpapers of Yan Chitong and one of the only woman among them — the arrogant and usually annoying Li Shaoying.
There is also a beautiful wallpaper of a lonely looking Ji Yuan Tong walking under an umbrella (and yes, we learned a lot more about his family recently so we now understand that melancholic look), behind whom in the distance you can see Meng Chuan alongside Yan Jin, who is carrying a huge candy floss.
The 11 new The Demon Hunter 2 wallpapers are the first full batch of graphics to feature characters that are not heavily Meng Chuan and, while I am a huge fan of the donghua’s protagonist, it’s still nice to get some pretty ones of others too.
The first 46 episodes of The Demon Hunter 2, which is wonderfully animated by studios Shenman Entertainment and Tianshi Wenhua, are now streaming via YOUKU.
Episode 17 of Season 2 is due to hit the same platform on Friday, March 21st. It’s gonna be great!
