Head Over Heels EP3 earns lowest ratings yet – but international viewers obsessing over the main couple
New tvN Monday/Tuesday drama Head Over Heels, Episode 3 aired in South Korea last night and hit its lowest ratings yet.
Those ratings, both from nationwide viewers and those in Seoul, fell from the Korean drama’s best rating so far last Tuesday.
Nationwide, Head Over Heels, Episode 3 earned 3.74 percent of the audience share, which is a solid fall from Episode 2’s viewership of 4.36 percent.
The Korean romance fantasy drama also saw a similar decrease in interest from audiences in Seoul, garnering a slightly higher 3.87 percent rating versus the 4.49 percent the K-drama grabbed for Episode 2.
With nine episodes left to air, however, my feeling is Head Over Heels will likely easily rise from here, maybe even with tonight’s show.
Especially as, even with its ratings falling, the K-drama was still the #1 show in its time slot last night.
International viewers awarding Head Over Heels solid ratings
Meanwhile, international viewers seem to have fallen in love with the main couple in Head Over Heels. At least if the rating and comments on My Drama List and IMDB are anything to go by.
IMDB viewers are currently awarding the Korean drama a very high (for that site) 8.9 out of 10, while on My Drama List, not only is it earning a solid 8.2 out of 10, but comments are just about all positive. And quite cute, too.
They range from:
The way I screamed when they just high-five and hold hands! How cuteee ~.
to
Their chemistry is chemistrying! I’m head over heels for this couple.
while one is even hoping for a love triangle (possibly so Park Seong Ah and Bae Gyeon U’s relationship will become even stronger?)
am completely seated. Episode 3 definitely won me over. The romance kicks off and I’m even hoping for a love triangle as long as it’s honestly done well.
Head Over Heels stars Cho Yi Hyun and Choo Young Woo, and its fourth episode airs/streams later on tonight on tvN in South Korea and Amazon Prime Video in some locations.
Let’s see if its ratings rise then, right? (Hint: My money is on them rising quite sharply. After all, the Internet is abuzz about the Korean drama too).
