The smash-hit weekend drama Iron Family, Episode 12 aired last night and, as usual, no other TV show airing in South Korea could catch it in the ratings.
According to the latest data via Nielsen Korea, Iron Family, Episode 12 was, yet again, the #1 show of any kind for all of Sunday — both with national viewers and those living in Seoul.
In fact, the latest episode of the KBS2 show was so popular, it grabbed the K-drama’s second highest ever rating in both regions as well.
Those ratings were 17.1 percent of the nationwide audience, which is only .50 percent away from the 17.6 percent rating the Korean drama earned for Episode 10.
The K-drama was even closer to its highest rating in Seoul on Sunday night, where it earned 16.3 percent of the audience compared to Episode 10’s 16.5 percent.
And yes, there is two thirds of the weekend drama yet to air (24 episodes), and Iron Family still shows no signs of slowing down in its popularity at all.
The Korean drama is also performing well on Viki, where it is streaming and where subscribers have been awarding it a very high 9.4 out of 10Â since the first episode premiered.
Happy to see this as, where weekend dramas are concerned, Iron Family is one of the most entertaining.
