Iron Family, Ep 22 shoots back up in ratings after lowest ever viewership on Saturday (NOT it’s fault)
With the KBS2 weekend drama Iron Family dropping in the ratings on Saturday night back down to its lowest one ever (same rating as Episode 1), it was nice to see it shoot right back up again last night.
That was likely due to two things.
First, the political situation in South Korea is calming down somewhat, and that probably means Koreans are more interested in catching up on their favorite K-drama than wondering what almost-impeached president Yoon Suk Yeol will do next. (So, no, that ratings drop was not the drama’s fault).
And second, of course, because the Korean weekend drama is addictive.
Those ratings for Iron Family, Episode 22, by the way, were 16.2 percent nationwide, which is a substantial increase from its back-to-its-lowest-ever rating of 14.1 percent on Saturday night.
In Seoul, the K-drama also shot back up — from Saturday evening’s 13.4 percent to Sunday night’s 15.2 percent of the viewership.
As you also may also expect, Iron Family was yet again the #1 most-watched show of any kind for all of Sunday.
Now watch the highlight video for Iron Family, Episode 22 below featuring what I think is one of the best scenes in the latest episode as Shin Hyun Joon (who is such a brilliant actor) confronts Tae Joon Choi, and then gets chastized by Park Ji Young.
Who also joins in the drinking, by the way.
The Iron Family highlight video doesn’t feature English subtitles but, if you choose YouTube’s ‘auto-generated’ subs, it’s perfectly understandable.
