I’ve Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years Laika character video proves the red dragon has a temper when pushed

While it is still quite a ways away until I’ve Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level, Season 2 premieres (some time in 2025), the production committee is doing a nice job of raising fans excitement.

Case in point, the just-released Laika character video, which came out via the anime’s official X account and reminds us just how adorable Azusa’s dragon girl apprentice turned out to be.

The I’ve Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years Laika character video has the young red dragon showing off the meals she serves, transforming into a tiny baby dragon who is more cute than scary, and also proving that, while she may be adorable, she also has a bit of a temper when pushed.

The Laika character trailer also features the wonderful voice actress Kaede Hondo (Maple in BOFURI: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Max Out My Defense), who plays the red dragon.

I’ve Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years, Season 2 details

Sadly, the anime has new staff and a new studio for its second season.

Season 2 of the fantasy isekai anime is being directed by Kunihisa Sugishima (Battle Spirits), with Naohiro Fukushima (My Isekai Life: I Gained a Second Character Class and Became the Strongest Sage in the World) in charge of series composition.

Hikaru Kodama (I’m the Villainess, So I’m Taming the Final Boss) is designing the characters.

Studio Teddy, who has never produced an anime before, has taken over from Revoroot who did a superb job with Season 1.

Fingers crossed they will do a good job, as Season 1 was a lovely, relaxing feel-good show that was a delight to watch.

There is no word yet on where it will be streaming in the west but, as Crunchyroll streamed Season 1, it is likely it will end up there.

They, by the way, explain the plot of Season 1 of the isekai anime like this:

After dying of overwork in the real world, I’m reincarnated as an immortal witch, and I spend 300 years enjoying a relaxing life. At some point, though, I end up at level 99! All those years spent killing slimes to make the money to pay the bills gave me a ton of experience points.

Rumors of the level 99 witch spread, and soon I’m up to my ears in curious adventurers, duelist dragons, and even a monster girl calling me her mom!

I’ve never been on an adventure, but I’m the strongest in the world… What’s going to happen to my relaxing life?!

We will keep you posted here on Leo Sigh as more information about the anime’s premiere comes out.
