Three beautiful visuals have also been released in celebration — one official teaser visual via the new Kusunoki’s Garden of Gods X account, one created by the light novels’ illustrator Ox, and one from the manga adaptation’s artist Akira Anzai.

The teaser visual (see above) came with the cute message:

A heartwarming rural life with the gods. It begins, it begins!

while the two visuals from the illustrators feature a similarly cute art style.

All three of the illustrations feature protagonist Minato Kusunoki and his wolf spirit friend, with other spirit friends arriving to join in.

Other than the three visuals, no animation studio, staff or voice actors have yet been announced. That will come at a later date.

We do know, however, that the what is likely to be a very comfy and relaxed fantasy anime is currently scheduled for a 2026 premiere.

Based on the light novel series written by Enju and illustrated by artist Ox, according to its first volume in English, the Kusunoki’s Garden of Gods plot goes like this:

Deep in the countryside, Minato Kusunoki is left in charge of a terrifying house overflowing with evil spirits―or at least it was, until his extraordinary ability cleared them all out!

In their absence, a procession of strange and unusual kami is drawn to the comfort of the purified Kusunoki residence.

First come the sweet-toothed Yamagami and his fluffy kin, then a sake-loving spirit turtle…and before Minato knows it, his house has been transformed into a kami realm of perpetual spring!

However, the next to arrive isn’t a kami but an onmyoji who wishes to borrow Minato’s spirit-dispelling power…Thus begins Minato’s halcyon days in the garden of gods.

The Kusunoki’s Garden of Gods light novel series is published in English by Yen Press, who currently has two volumes out and Volume 3 due to be published on November 11th.

Its manga adaptation has yet to receive an English translation but, with the Kusunoki’s Garden of Gods anime now being announced, it’s much more likely we will get that one too.
