Nielsen Korea’s latest data reports Law and the City, Episode 2 earned 5.12 percent of the nationwide audience on Sunday night, versus the 4.61 percent it garnered for the K-drama’s first episode the night before.

The Korean legal-themed drama also saw a similar increase in Seoul, grabbing 5.07 percent of the viewership — up from the 4.78 percent on Saturday night.

As if those ratings weren’t already great news (the show’s cast is excellent so far, and the drama is well-written and directed), Law and the City, Episode 2 was also the #1 most-watched show on cable TV in its time slot.

Yay, eh?

Loved the first two episodes! This has such a feel good vibe. I love the fact that it is about “ordinary attorneys” and not the “best of the best”.

Wonderful group of actors, who have really great “group chemistry”. Lee Jong Suk and Mun Ka Young is a nice pairing, I like their bickering.

to comments about the plot pulling them in:

Good 2nd episode as well.
This fusion thing is so fishy. None of her reasons were valid to me but they accepted? I need to see what happens next 🧐.

as well as true appreciation for the meals the main characters eat together (and I’m all in with her there! Makes the drama seem so comfy.):

I’m in love with this drama, perfect for me. I love foods, so I’m enjoying when they’re eating together, a lunch and dinner group. So good.šŸ‘

The next episode of Law and the City — which starsĀ Lee Jong Suk,Ā Moon Ga Young,Ā Kang You Seok,Ā Ryu Hye Young, andĀ Im Seong Jae — drops on Saturday, July 12th on tvN and on Viki internationally.

And yep, it’s still earning a nutty high 9.7 out of 10 on Viki (from over 260 reviewers so far!).

Update: The third episode of Law and the City earns the K-drama’s lowest rating yet — but it’s not all bad news!
