A particularly fast release compared to so many C-dramas these days.

That premiere date for Fated Hearts is October 2nd — ie: in two days time — and its announcement came with a very cool official cast poster (titled an ‘Enter the Battle‘ poster), 6 very pretty character visuals, and a Fated Hearts trailer.

And yep, the Chinese drama looks amazing.

Along with the new Fated Hearts poster, iQIYI also commented:

Fated Hearts plot

The Fated Hearts plot, even though it has a ‘falling of a cliff’ trope that will be incredibly annoying, also sounds like it will be gripping:

During the Battle of Pingling, as the glorious Kingdom faced defeat, the red-clad archer Fu Yixiao (played by Li Qin) loosed a heaven-shaking arrow that struck Feng Suige, Crown Prince of Sushang, turning the tide of battle. Yet not long after Pingling, Fu Yixiao accidentally fell off a cliff and lost all her memories.

Meanwhile, Feng Suige (played by Chen Zhe Yuan), hunted and worn from constant pursuit, by a twist of fate reunites with the now-amnesiac Fu Yixiao at Zhengnian Manor. Seeing her without her memories, Feng Suige feels something about the situation is deeply suspicious. He decides to keep Yixiao by his side to draw out the hidden mastermind pulling the strings.

Thus begins their journey to uncover the conspiracy between the two nations. Along the way, they join hands to take down scoundrels, challenge corrupt ministers, and seek the truth.

From mutual exploitation to mutual affection, from cautious alliance to wholehearted devotion, their story blends sweetness and heartbreak, love and growth, inspiration and resolve.

Fated Hearts drops on iQIYI on Thursday (October 2nd). Reserve it now.
