Love Song for Illusion Ep 9 rating drops to another all-time low but still rated high internationally

Love Song for Illusion, Episode 9 continues to struggle in Korea

Unfortunately for Korean actor Park Ji Hoon, even his superb performance in the ongoing drama Love Song for Illusion doesn’t seem to be able to save it from falling ratings in South Korea.

Ratings that fell from the first episode’s 4.3 percent nationwide to tonight’s lowest-ever rating of 1.7 percent for Episode 9 of the Korean drama when it aired on KBS2.

That rating was also a fall from its previous episode’s 2.4 percent, which had actually risen from Episode 7’s previous all-time low rating.

That being said, with many international viewers commenting on My Drama List and on Viki about just how good Episode 9 of the K-drama turned out to be, that may mean viewers in South Korea may also be telling their family and friends the same thing.

In other words, with seven more episodes yet to air, let’s not write off Love Song for Illusion just yet as there is still time for its ratings to improve.

Meanwhile, outside Korea, all is not lost as Love Song for Illusion is being rated a healthy 8.1 out of 10 on My Drama List, while Viki subscribers are giving it a whopping 9.5 out of 10.

Love Song for Illusion stars the aforementioned Park Ji Hoon, alongside Hong Ye Ji, Hwang Hee, and Ji Woo, all of whom turn in excellent performances.

The drama is airing on KBS2 in South Korea every Monday and Tuesday evening, while Viki is carrying it for its international subscribers.
