Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc. Season 2 gets new visual and a premiere date (sort of)

The official X account for the mahou shoujo anime series Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc. has released a new visual for upcoming Season 2.

It features protagonist and newest magical girl at a start-up herself, Kana Sakuragi. Although, in the anime’s latest visual, she looks pretty kickass, I’d say.

The new visual arrived with a message to fans informing them Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc., Season 2 will premiere some time in 2026.

This after the first season ended in December, 2024. Meaning there will be at least a one-year gap between the two seasons. If Season 2 premieres early in 2026.

No more details about Season 2 were released, which is slightly odd as the season has already been in production for at least seven months that we know of, after it was announced last December.

Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc., Season 1’s production details

The first season of the anime is one of the lower-rated anime by users of My Anime List, and is currently at just 6.96 out of 10 via the almost 10,300 people rating it.

Personally, I don’t think it warrants a score that low as, sure, it’s just a silly magical girl anime but, as entertainment value and cute girls go, it’s decent.

Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc., Season 1 was directed by Masahiro Hiraoka in his directorial debut, with Shingo Nagai (Uma Musume: Pretty Derby Season 3) in charge of both scripts and series composition, and Hidehiro Asama (key animation for Violet Evergarden) and Masahiro Fujii (The Pet Girl of Sakurasou) designing the anime’s cute characters.

Animation production for Season 1 was from Studio Moe (Give It All) and J.C. Staff (Bakuman).

It has not yet been announced if the same people will be involved in Season 2. We’ll keep you posted as more information drops.
