Hu Mei’er may seem like a pain in the a**, but she’s actually cool
A new and very short Hu Mei’er character PV is out introducing the Hu sister after she showed up last week in Martial Peak, Episode 12 as Su Mu and his cronies were attacked by members of the Blood Battle Group.
Hu Mei’er arrived with the group while Su Mu was waiting for Yang Kai, then proceeded to use her powers of seduction to make a bad situation even worse.
When Yang Kai arrived he, of course, immediately noticed Hu Mei’er was manipulating the situation to the Blood Battle member’s advantage while fanning the flames.
Sure, the pink-haired teenager may be cute, and well connected as she is one of the two daughters of Blood Battle Group leader Hu Man, but she is not the nicest of people.
At least at first.
Later, however, Hu Mei’er mends her ways, she becomes a huge ally of Yang Kai, and she and her sister Hu Jiao’er become close friends with him.
Watch the new Hu Mei’er character PV below.
You will also find her stirring up the sh*t in the preview video for Martial Peak, Episode 12 below that.
Martial Peak details
Martial Peak is a donghua adaptation of the now-completed web novel by Chinese writer Momo (莫默).
The ongoing martial arts donghua Martial Peak (aka Wu Lian Dianfeng) premiered on December 5th via Tencent’s streaming platform in China, with a total of 48 episodes scheduled to air.
Yuewen Animation’s YouTube channel is the only one offering it legally in the west and, unfortunately, new episodes premiere there several weeks after episodes release in China. English subtitles aren’t always the best either.
While Martial Peak has been popular with martial arts donghua fans in the west so far, some are still bemoaning how it was adapted, commenting the character models and animation look like those from five or more years ago.
It does have a decently written plot, however, and the characters are not one-dimensional, so it is worth a watch if martial arts or action adventure are your thing.
I’m definitely enjoying it.
