Production details for Apocalypse Hotel

The ongoing original anime series premiered on April 8th on NTV in Japan, and on Crunchyroll internationally.

It is being directed by Kana Shundou (episode director of League of Nations Air Force Aviation Magic Band Luminous Witches) in their directing debut, with Shigeru Murakoshi (The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse) in charge of scripts and series composition, and Keinosuke Ami (The Vexations of a Shut-In Vampire Princess) is designing the characters.

CygamesPictures (Princess Connect! Re:Dive) is animating.

As for the Apocalypse Hotel plot, it is an original anime and tells the story of Yachiyo, a hotelier who is also a robot.

Unfortunately for the hotel, humanity disappeared from Earth almost a hundred years ago, leaving only robots left to run everything.

One of those places is the Gingarou Hotel in Ginza, Tokyo. A hotel surrounded by a city that has been lost to time and the natural elements, while the staff who run the hotel continue to ensure it is one of the only buildings in the city to look and operate like it always did.

Before the apocalypse occurred.

Run by an entirely robotic staff, they work tirelessly to make sure the world-class hotel is clean and ready for when a guest eventually arrives. For many years, they wait in vain.

But now, after decades of beginning to lose hope, a small miracle will soon change everything for Yachiyo and the other Galaxy Tower robots.

Apocalypse Hotel is streaming via Crunchyroll, with its first eight episodes now out. Check out its trailer below.
