New Blue Lock vs. U-20 Japan key visual features Yoichi, Rin, Sae and Oliver

Upcoming football themed anime Blue Lock, Season 2 got a new key visual today via its official X account, as well as the official title being released for the anime’s second season.

That title is Blue Lock vs. U-20 Japan, and it arrived along with a key visual (see below) of Yoichi Isagi, Rin Itoshi, Sae Itoshi and Oliver Aiku on the football pitch and running like hell after the ball.

The anime’s official X account also commented the second season of the anime will consist of “the match between Blue Lock and U-20 Japan taking place over 14 episodes”.

The Blue Lock anime series is based on the manga by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yusuke Nomura.

Its first season ran from October 9th, 2022 to March 26th, 2023 so, yes, fans are desperate for the next season right about now.

That season is being directed by Shintarou Inokawa (Episode Director of The Slime Diaries), under the direction of chief director Yuji Haibara.

Taku Kishimoto is back in charge of series composition, while Kenji Tanabe is once again providing the anime’s character designs.

Studio 8bit (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime) is also back in charge of anime production.

Blue Lock, Season 2 — aka Blue Lock vs. U-20 Japan — is currently scheduled to premiere on October 5th.
