New ‘Link Click: Yingdu Chapter’ (Season 3) trailer – a prequel or a follow-on season?
Link Click, Season 3 just got another new teaser trailer and, while it doesn’t give us much information about the long-awaited new season of the hit Chinese donghua, it has certainly ramped up the excitement for it.
Called Link Click, Season 3: Yingdu Chapter (which is also going by the title Link Click: Bridon Arc), the upcoming new season takes place in the UK.
And, yes, Bridon is apparently “Brighton”. Go figure.

Is Link Click: Yingdu Chapter a follow-on season or the prequel?
With the release of the Link Click, Season 3 trailer, there is also some confusion from fans about whether Season 3 of the mystery time-travel donghua is either a follow on from Season 2, or not Season 3 at all but the prequel that was talked about quite a while ago.
Nothing has been released about the latter by new animation studios CMC Media and Studio EEK (no LAN Studio isn’t animating this one), or by producers Bilibili and BeDream, but my guess is the so-called “Season 3” is the prequel.
And the follow on story to Season 2. Both.
That’s because, from previous trailers (watch below), the events are obviously taking place at an earlier time when Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang had just graduated from university.
But they are also likely taking place after the end of Season 2 when Lu Guang stepped into the photograph to go back in time and stop a death from occurring.
Whose death? Well, my money would be on Cheng Xiaoshi’s, wouldn’t yours?
Unfortunately, most information about the upcoming new series of Link Click is just guesswork, as Chinese animation studios are notoriously secretive about what they release.
That means it’s often the day that a new donghua releases before anyone outside the animation studio and production company know what to expect.
If Link Click, Season 3 does turn out to be the previously talked about “prequel”, however, it was also announced that that would be an 8-episode season, with each episode around 20 minutes each. So that’s likely what we have to look forward to here.
Then again, Season 3 was also said to releasing in October and that has come and gone. So there’s that.
Hopefully then, the first episode of Link Click, Season 3 will be hitting pretty soon, and all the confusion will be quickly cleared up.
We will let you know here at Leo Sigh as soon as we find out.
Meanwhile, check out the latest Link Click: Yingdu Chapter trailer below, and then watch/rewatch the previous two teaser trailers for the new season of the donghua, and see if you come to the same conclusion I did.
