New Quintessential Quintuplets ∽ visual has all 5 girls encouraging Fuutarou to follow them

The incredibly popular rom com anime The Quintessential Quintuplets is getting a new TV special.

Called The Quintessential Quintuplets ∽ (yep, that’s a tilde at the end of its title just so you don’t get confused), the anime spin-off from the main series will tell stories about the Nakano quintuplets that have not been told before.

Its main story will focus on the girl’s tutor Fuutarou Uesugi who is taking a break from tutoring to concentrate on his own upcoming university entrance exams.

Just as the quintuplets begin to miss him, though, Fuutarou calls them and the story begins from there.

To promote the upcoming anime, an absolutely gorgeous The Quintessential Quintuplets ∽ key visual has just been released featuring all five of the quintuplets on a lovely summer’s day heading off to have fun.

The way they are looking back towards the viewer, however, suggests they are with Fuutarou and encouraging him to follow them.

The new anime has been adapted from the manga by Negi Haruba, and will premiere in Japan on July 14th with a limited release in movie theaters.

After those showings end, the TV anime will then air on Japanese TV.

No word yet on where The Quintessential Quintuplets ∽ will be streaming outside Japan, but my money is on Crunchyroll who is already streaming the main anime series alongside its spin-off movie.

Yukihiro Miyamoto (Puella Magi Madoka Magica) is directing the new anime spin-off, with Keiichiro Ochi again writing the scripts.

Studio Shaft is in charge of anime production.

The entire cast will also be back reprising their roles.
