New Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse S2 creditless opening animation features bangin’ OP

The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse, Season 2 creditless opening animation has been released ahead of tomorrow’s (Sunday) premiere.

The gorgeous opening video, which came out earlier today, also features Season 2’s banger of an opening theme song — UVERWorld’s ‘MMH‘.

The creditless opening animation starts with Lancelot, Tristan, Percival and Gawain looking up at the rubble sky staircase as Arthur descends it.

It then heads off into high-speed action scenes as we see all four of our knights and their friends fighting both monsters and now-villain Arthur Pendragon and his accomplices.

Season 2 of The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse also kicks off where Season 1 ended on March 31st, with Mela-Galland being killed, Arthur coming down the aforementioned sky staircase, and then immobilizing Percival and Tristan with a sky full of magic blades.

The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse Season 2 details

Like the first season, Four Knights of the Apocalypse, Season 2 is based on the manga by Nakaba Suzuki.

The anime is being directed again by Maki Odaira, with Shigeru Murakoshi back in charge of scripts and series composition, and Youichi Takada returning to design the characters.

Telecom Animation Film, who did a fabulous job with the first season, is again in charge of anime production.

And, if all that wasn’t enough, expect another superb soundtrack as Kohta Yamamoto, the composer of previous Seven Deadly Sins soundtracks, is composing the anime’s music.

If the rest of the anime looks anything like as good as this, it could just be amazing.

Season 2 premieres in Japan tomorrow, with no word yet as to when Netflix will be getting it.

Considering the streaming platform was months behind Japan in its release of Season 1, and it isn’t mentioned in their ‘Coming in October, 2o24‘ list, unfortunately, it just may be a while.
