With not a huge amount of information out about the HK-drama so far, here’s what we know about its plot:
Hao Gang is a city of crime bubbling underneath the surface. Judge Qin Yu (played by Nick Cheung) teams up with Senior Inspector Tang Xuan (Myolie Wu) to convict gang leader Han Kui Long, but finds himself struggling after his son severely injures Han’s son after slamming into his motorbike with his car.
Desperate to protect his child, Qin Yu fakes evidence so he can frame a teenage car thief, thus plunging himself and his son into a spider web of lies. Tang Xuan, however, remains committed to following through on justice, and so continues to pursue the truth.
Behind this power struggle, there also exists a web of collusion between officials and business figures, underlying police corruption, and a slew of unresolved cases from the past.
