The magic-themed fantasy anime Promise of Wizard (aka Mahoutsukai no Yakusoku) has a new character trailer out, this time for the four Western wizards — Murr, Shylock, Chloe and Rustica.
The teaser trailer only gives us a quick glance at each wizard, but it is enough to prove, if an anime chockful of incredibly cute guys is your thing, this is definitely one to check out.
In addition to being hot, The Promise of Wizard western wizards also have quirky, cool personalities. Something you will know if you have played the mobile phone game the anime is based on.

Murr Hart, for instance, once used to be an incredibly talented inventor and philosopher but, after after having his soul all but destroyed the last time the moon caused major chaos, he is now very sweet and playful.
Shylock is one of Murr’s closest friends, but also the person who rescued him and gave him his life back after The Great Calamity hit.
Shylock is laid-back and mature, and known for his elegant, sexy looks and superb people skills. He is also open-minded, and loves talking to just about anyone.
Chloe Collins might have a girl’s name and, with his burgundy hair, be as cute as a girl, but he is actually male.
While Chloe seems to be happy and upbeat, he has a problem with self-confidence and often becomes depressed. He is Rustica’s student, and has the goal of eventually becoming a skilled tailor as he loves wearing stylish clothes.
Rustica Ferch is Chloe’s magic teacher. He is a handsome nobleman who lost his memory, but he can remember he was supposed to get married, and so now he is traveling the world alongside Chloe looking for his lost bride.
Rustica, while being a skilled wizard, is terrible at taking care of himself, so he leaves that up to Chloe.
The Promise of Wizard anime is an isekai fantasy anime that tells the story of Akira Masaki who is summoned from Earth to become a trainer to five different groups of wizards before the next “Great Calamity” occurs.
This is an annual event, that occurs due to the full moon and ushers in all kinds of calamities. This year then, the Kingdom wants to be more prepared, and Akira is their best bet.
Anime production is by Liden Films (Tokyo Revengers), with Naoyuki Tatsuwa (Dakaichi -I’m being harassed by the sexiest man of the year) directing.
It is scheduled to premiere in January, 2025.
