Rakshasa Street, Season 4 is massively successful in China it seems
In case you ever wondered how successful the Chinese donghua Rakshasa Street, Season 4 was in China, the donghua’s animation studio L2 Studio just answered that question with their latest Weibo post.
A post that was made to thank viewers of the animated series for the 11 million followers the fourth season now has on Bilibili alone. So, yep, pretty darned successful, right?
The post also included a celebratory visual (below) featuring main characters Cao Yanbing, Xia Ling, Yan Feng Zha, Bei Luo and Tina.
Along with the visual, the studio thanked fans for all their support:
Thank you for your support, dear viewers! #Rakshasa Street, Season 4 has surpassed 11 million followers! [Cheering][Cheering][Cheering]
Thunder ⚡ splits the sky, celestial flames 🔥 ignite the beacons— On this journey where heroes gather, we thank every Guardian Spirit for their fiery passion, making the legend of Rakshasa Street resound throughout the Spirit Realm!
They then reminded viewers that the fourth season of Rakshasa Street will soon be concluding, but that not to worry, as they also confirm Season 5 is already in full production.
Yay!
The latest news from Rakshasa Street, by the way, comes right after the cool poster L2 Studio released last week in celebration of the donghua’s 9th Anniversary.
Rakshasa Street production details
The Chinese donghua is animated by L2 Studio (God Troubles Me), and produced by Bilibili.
Its first season premiered in April, 2016 with Part 1 of its second hitting three years later in December, 2019.
Part 2 of Season 2 didn’t arrive until May, 2021, with another two year gap before Season 3 hit in July, 2023, followed by Season 4 in November, 2024.
In other words, while it is great news Rakshasa Street, Season 5 is confirmed, L2 Studio does take a while getting each new season out — although when it finally arrives, it’s always worth it — so get ready for a bit of a wait.
Meanwhile, Rakshasa Street, Episode 25, “Strong Grass in the Wind“, the penultimate episode of Season 4, has just premiered in China earlier today.
You can expect it to hit Bilibi’s English language streaming service for its paying subscribers soon as well.
